what is the moment of inertia of a disc of mass M and radius R about an axis parallel to its diameter and at a distance R\2 from the center?

I don't know about technical problem this site has this time becoz on front site page dist is R2 while previewing this in submit your ans pg the dist is appearing as R/2 so I am giving u hint for both option
moment of inertia along diameter is given as MR2/4
I at 2R dist will be = MR2/4 + Md2 (put d=2R & find ans)
I at R/2 will be = MR2/4 + Md2( put d =R/2 ) = MR2/4 + M (R/2)2 = MR2/2
frnd the ans is depend upon d so do that method which satisfy the desiring ans
