the effective power of 3 lamps A (100W , 200V) , B(60W,200V) ,C (40W,200V) connected in series is equal to 600/31W . how??

I'll tell you an easy way, calculate power in series by the formula, 1/Pnet = 1/p1 +1/p2.....
so, 1/P = 1/40 + 1/60 +1/100.
