Question
Q A BALL IS DROPPED FROM HEIGHT 5 M ON A PLANE WHERE ACC. DUE TO GRAVITY IS NOT KNOWN. ON BOUNCING IT RISES TO 1.8M . IT LOSES ITS VELOCITY ON BOUNCING BY A FACTOR OF =?
By using formula h'=h e2n ans comes 3/5 but given is 2/5. in two reference book.
Read 1 Solution.
inttial velocity with which it wll strike the grnd is u= (2a×5)1/2 AGAIN it will strike the ground with v= (2a×1.8)1/2
so it loses its velocity by a factor of u-v/u = 2/5
u are using the formula for coefficient of restitution which is not asked here.
